Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

As a Communications Assistant, I helped the IRCC team monitor the news for immigration news, plan for special events and share IRCC's #ImmigrationMatters campaign with external partners.

Reading Week Project: Sustainability Video for the BC Ministry of Citizens' Services

I created a video about workplace sustainability using PowToon, iMovie and GarageBand.

Study Exchange - Sciences Po Lyon

I embarked on a 4-month study exchange in Lyon, France to study at Sciences Po Lyon. Courses that I took include Comparative Politics of Immigration, the US-UK Special Relationship and French language at the B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference.

UBC Collegia

I helped first-year commuter students find a sense of belonging on UBC campus by supervising a space where they could study, relax and socialize. I organized special events and referred students to resources on campus.

UBC Tandem Language Exchange

A UBC club where I met with a partner weekly so we could practice each others' languages. I helped students with practicing their English, while I practiced my oral Mandarin and Cantonese with my native-Chinese speaking partners.

UBC United Way Campaign

I inspired over 950 UBC employees to give to United Way by helping workplace campaign chairs plan fundraising initiatives including prize draws, email messaging and virtual events.
